Tarboo Fest: Sun bleached and groovy

The inaugural Tarboo Fest is in the books.

Sun drenched open space filled with lazy meandering smiling faces, music moved through every inch of the 53-acre Quilcene Lantern property for four days and three nights, July 4-July 6.

Pygmy goats, wood fired pizza, alder grove campsites, newly-invented dance moves, hammock hangs, yoga, expert led nature walks, a contemplative solo-drum set, and lot of smartly written and well-played songs mark some of the highlight offerings.

“Spirits are high, I think everybody thought it was a big success,” Tarboo Fest organizer Willem de Koch said. “All in all, everything was really smooth, the performances and shows had really good energy behind them, and all of the artists of course, delivered. The stoke is high.”

Tarboo was the first full production event put on by the de Koch’s family since their purchase of the property earlier this year. Visit quilcenelantern.com for upcoming events.
