Spectacular Christmas displays donated to the Olympic Medical Center Foundation from Microsoft in 2022 will be featured once again in the Festival of Trees Opening Ceremonies event, starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, outside the main entrance of Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The LED-lit “ornaments” will be turned on — and will include performances by Ghostlight Productions. There are a limited number of tickets ($20 each) available that will include covered seating, access to view the decorated trees before or after the ceremonies and a pre-event reception. (There will also be uncovered standing room viewing areas that will be free of charge.)
Tickets must be purchased to enter Vern Burton for the reception and tree viewing. Get tickets at omhf.org or call the OMC Foundation office at 360-417-7144.
Following the ceremony, Opening Ceremony ticket purchasers will be allowed access to view the 50 decorated trees inside Vern Burton that will be auctioned/raffled/sold during the Festival over the Thanksgiving weekend.
“We are extremely fortunate to be the recipient of these displays,” OMC Foundation Executive Director Bruce Skinner said. “I think people are going to say ‘wow’ when they are lit, as they will include bigger-than-life ornaments, fountains, and two 20-foot Christmas trees.”
Tickets are available for all other Festival of Trees events except for the Teddy Bear Tea, which is sold out, at omcf.org.
