Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Library hosts a screening of “Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 265, at the Red Cedar Hall, 1033 Old Blyn Highway, Blyn.
Part of the Native Film Night series, the screening featured a film that brings to light a missing chapter in the history of American music: the indigenous influence. Featuring music icons Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Jesse Ed Davis, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Randy Castillo and Taboo, “Rumble” shows how pioneering native musicians helped shape the soundtracks of our lives.
The public is welcome to attend.
