Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is offering a Community Education and Volunteer Training series starting Friday, March 22, and running from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on six consecutive Fridays through April 26 at Clallam County PUD, 104 Hooker Road.
The series provides a history and overview of hospice and the philosophy behind VHOCC; explores attitudes towards death and dying; delves into the grieving process and self-care, and offers training for those interested in volunteering with the organization.
The sessions are open to the public and there is no charge.
As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing to vsm@vhocc.org.
Operating with a team of registered nurses and trained volunteers, the nonprofit VHOCC organization supports terminally ill patients and their families. Ongoing grief support services and loan of medical equipment are also available to anyone in the community.
