“Into the Silence,” a black and white photo by Angelina Reese, won first place at the Dungeness River Audubon Center’s Art in the Park exhibit on Aug. 1-5. She and 29 other artists were featured at the exhibit, including second-place winner Dave Shreffler’s “Silver Thread” photo of salmon and third-place winner Tuttie Peetz’ driftwood sculpture “Preening Swan.” Artists donated at least 25 percent of their sales to support the center’s education programs.
Peetz donated “Enchanted Heron,” the first-place People’s Choice Award last year, to the Dungeness River Audubon Center for a raffle with only 100 tickets available for $20 each at the river center. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at the River Center’s Nature Mart. The winner need not be present at the drawing.
