Whether it’s the camping, music jamming, workshops or just stopping by to enjoy the music, the Washington Old Time Fiddlers from District 15 are inviting the public to take part in its annual campout, set for June 11-14 at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road.
Greg and Jere Canote (pictured, at right) are this year’s featured workshop instructors and performers. The duo has a background that includes 13 years on NPR radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion,” Gurtenfest Music Festival in Bern, Switzerland, and the Northwest Folklife Festival.
Bring your acoustic guitar, fiddle, upright bass mandolin, banjo, harmonica or ukulele and join in.
For those wishing to camp out, dry camping is $7/night (no electrical or water hookups). Each workshop is a $15 donation for non-members of WOTFA.
