Wellness Forum: ‘The dentist can see you now’

Dr. Nathan E. Gelder, DMD, will present a “WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum” from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 on radio station KSQM FM (91.5).

Gelder was born and raised in Salem, Oregon and graduated in 2002 from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. After graduating he spent four years with the U.S. Navy, first in California where he completed a general practice residency, and then gaining post-graduate experience in all areas of general dentistry at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.

After that Gelder was off to Japan where he spent three years stationed at the Marine Air base at Iwakuni. When his tour of duty ended he returned to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Sequim, where he has been practicing with Dr. Brian Juel since 2006.

In this forum Gelder will discuss the kinds of care now available in today’s world of dentistry. He will answer the most asked questions about current oral care and address the most common problems and concerns of today’s dental patients.

“WOW! Working on Wellness” is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health Wellness Clinic-Sequim’s free clinic. The Clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. The facility’s work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.
