Kelly Olson of Sequim put on her sleuth hat to win the fourth “Whodunnit Downtown?” presented by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber Merchants Group during the First Friday Art Walk on Jan. 8.
Olson wove her way through clues at 15 downtown businesses to solve the mystery that Pirate Peggy Preston stole a chrome key from Silverbeard the Pirate to help her cousin Philomena Logan create a school for orphaned girls.
Olson won a two-night stay at the Seaview Vacation Rental from Cedarbrook Lavender and Herb Farm, a cake decorating class from That Takes The Cake, a knitting class from A Dropped Stitch, two tickets and a T-Shirt to Purple Haze Daze from Purple Haze Lavender Farm, a 30-minute one-on-one class at MacTraders, the book “Sequim-Dungeness Valley” by Katherine Vollenweider, and cobalt blue sea glass earrings in sterling silver from West Coast Sea Glass.
The mystery continues next January with a 1950s theme and was created by Vickie Maples and Diane Fatzinger and Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond continued it this year.
