Wiker earns Elks honor

The Sequim Elks Lodge 2642 recently honored Blake Wiker, a Sequim High School sophomore, as its Student of the Month at its May Social Night Dinner meeting. Wiker, a 4.0 grade-point-average student, was selected for his high academic achievements and student involvement. His current class schedule includes world literature, chemistry, pre-calculus, Spanish II, Western civilization and percussion. His interests are sports, NCIS and Apple technology. He also is a member of the school’s National Honor Society and favorite things to do are play golf and go to Disneyland. Wiker’s future plans are to attend college and pursue a career in engineering or technology. He is the son of Sven and Karla Wiker of Sequim.
