Winery hosts concert series
For the seventh consecutive year, Olympic Cellars will align its annual outdoor concert series with nonprofit organizations that help build and sustain the community’s strength and vitality. What began as a four-concert series supporting four nonprofits in 2009 has grown to an eight concert series supporting eight non-profits in 2015.
“Giving back to the local community is at the heart of Olympic Cellars’ business philosophy,” said owner Lisa Martin, “and our concert series presents a win/win opportunity.”
Martin added, “People can come out to the winery, relax and enjoy live music under the stars performed by some really great bands while simultaneously supporting a nonprofit organization that is doing important work in our community. Half of the ticket price for each concert is donated to that night’s featured nonprofit. Over the past seven years our concert series has raised more than $45,000.”
Beneficiaries of the 2015 concert series include PEO Chapter IV, Key City Public Theatre, Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts, Captain Joseph House Foundation, Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, Peninsula Trails Coalition, Olympic Medical Center Foundation and Welfare for Animals Guild.
