National Book Award nominee and Cuban-American author Cristina Garcia leads a writing workshop from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Peninsula College on May 1.

Community members who are interested in becoming part of the workshop are invited to submit an original work-in-progress to P.C.

English Professor Dr. Matt Teorey by April 1.

Submissions should be sent to him at mteorey@pencol.edu; either prose or poetry may be submitted. Prose should be no longer than 1,500 words and poetry to not exceed 50 lines.

The workshop is limited to 12 participants.
