The Dungeness Valley Health and Wellness Clinic has secured commitments from Anytime Fitness, Fit 4 Life, Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center and Sequim Gym to offer “give-aways” to people who participate in the clinic’s 10th annual Fun Walk to be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, starting at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., in Sequim.
Registration ($10 per adult, free for those under 18) opens at 8:30 a.m. for individuals, families and teams who choose to walk or run either the 1-mile or the 5-mile course through Carrie Blake Park, the Water Reuse Demonstration Site and a part of the Olympic Discovery Trail. No pets are allowed inside the building.
Following the noncompetitive Fun Walk, there will be free medical screenings, a healthy cooking demonstration, entertainment and a closing ceremony with an array of door prizes.
All proceeds from the walk go to the Dungeness Valley Health and Wellness Clinic, Sequim’s free clinic, supplying urgent and chronic medical and dental care for the uninsured and underinsured.
