Velma Good, one of Sequim’s longest tenured citizens, center, celebrated her 92nd birthday with five generations of family on Saturday, April 10, one day after her birthday.

Good, an honorary grand pioneer for Sequim’s Irrigation Festival in 2008, has lived in Sequim for 84 years. Her family traveled from Central and Eastern Washington to bring the celebration to Sequim.

“It feels wonderful to have them here,” Good said.

“I haven’t gotten the chance to meet some of them yet. I’m tickled pink to have us all eat together.”

Good says she stays busy with walnut cracking, gardening and playing pinochle and bingo at the Sequim Senior Activity Center.
