Comet the pony got to enjoy the easy life at his 35th birthday celebration on March 13 outside the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.
Volunteers with the Native Horsemanship Riding Center brought Comet down for club members to meet and greet the pony with carrots after coloring horse pages, eating cake and enjoying goodies provided by Agnew Grocery.
Gussie Barton, vice-president of the center, said they brought Comet’s birthday to the club because many of the children have ridden him before. For years, Comet has given rides to people of all ages for training and/or therapy. For more information on the center, visit Nativehorserc.weebly.com or call 582-0907.
