The Clallam County Fair royalty host a “Princess Tea” at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Home Arts Building at the Clallam County Fairgrounds, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles.
Royal guests include the reigning Clallam County Fair queen Marissa Wilson, fair princess Stephanie Lindquist, a mermaid princess as master of ceremonies and many of her princess friends.
The tea is the debut of royalty candidates Brooklyn Bauer, sponsored by Forks Outfitters; Ruby Jackson, sponsored by Herman Brothers Logging and Construction, Katelyn Noard, sponsored by Rygaard Logging, and Brianna Gilbeck, sponsored by Sickk Tees.
Candidates give speeches and answer questions, with the top three chosen at the program’s end to represent Clallam County Fair during the spring and summer parade season. One of the three will be crowned queen Aug. 18, opening night of the 2011 fair.
Attendees are invited to come dressed as a favorite princess or prince and to bring cameras for photos with the princesses. The tea and silent auction raise funds for the royalty program and scholarship fund.
Tickets are $8 for a princess table or $5 for a regular table, available at the door or from the candidates.
