AARP offers a month Driving Safety Class in Sequim to all adults 50 and older.
Car insurance companies give discounts for seniors (50 and older) who complete the course.
In the classes, topics include new rules of the road, how to recognize aggressive drivers, making automobiles “fit” our needs and abilities, how to maneuver multiple-lane roundabouts and more.
Classes are scheduled for four hours each for two days. Cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members.
The next class is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on July 18-19 at the Trinity Methodist Church at 100 Blake Ave.
Reservations are made through the Sequim Senior Activities Center, 683-6806.
All are welcome to take the class: Insurance companies only honor the certificates of those who are considered “seniors.”
Another class is offered Aug. 28-29 at The Lodge, 660 Evergreen Farm Way; call the Sequim Senior Center Activities to reserve a spot.
Additional classes will be available each month until the end of the year.
