Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis recently recognized Leonard Anderson, manager of Olympic Medical Heart Center, with the organization’s Leadership Award for October at the hospital’s monthly department management meeting.
Anderson has been with Olympic Medical since 2007, starting as the coordinator of pulmonary rehabilitation before quickly taking on additional duties such as managing the cardiac rehabilitation program and cardiac diagnostic testing.
“In 2014, Leonard was promoted to coordinate the chronic disease program and he did an excellent job in further developing the program, supervising staff and with direct patient care,” Lewis said. “Under his supervision the program doubled in size.”
Anderson earned another promotion in 2016 to manager of the Heart Center and has become a well-respected leader. Most recently, he facilitated the implementation of an Infinitt Picture Archiving and Communications System and is leading the development of Olympic Medical’s “Camp Cardio” program that will be held at the Sequim YMCA.
Camp Cardio is a community-based cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation transition program which is available by referral to patients who have been discharged from Olympic Medical Heart Center’s cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs to provide safe and helpful support as patients learn to independently manage their health.
