The Puget Sound Anglers–North Olympic Peninsula Chapter host the club’s annual fundraising auction and dinner starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Sunland Golf and Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim.
Proceeds from this auction provide the majority of funding for the annual Olympic Peninsula Kids Fishing Program held at the Sequim water reclamation pond in mid-May. Tickets are $10. To buy tickets, call 681-4768 or e-mail webmaster@psanopc.org.
Doors open at 5 p.m. A silent auction is open from 5-8 p.m. and a live auction starts at 7 p.m. Dinner — a catered spaghetti dinner with red sauce or white clam sauce, garlic bread and tossed salad — is served from 5:45-7 p.m. There also will be a “no host” cash bar.
The silent auction offers a wide assortment of sports merchandise and runs through the evening. Live auction items include charter boat trips for salmon, halibut and/or bottom fish out of Pacific Ocean ports and the Strait of Juan de Fuca; a trip for one to Palapas Ventana Resort, Baja Mexico, and a trip for two for fishing for tuna out of La Push. Also, the auction includes salmon saltwater trips offered by club members departing out of Port Angeles, Sequim or Sekiu. The live auction also features items include custom rods, tackle and local business gift certificates.
