Auditions for Olympic Theatre Arts’ production of “It’s A Wonderful Life, a Live Radio Play,” are set for 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, and at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Gathering Hall of the theater, 414 N. Sequim Ave.

This live radio-play version of the iconic 1945 movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” is directed by Olivia Shea and includes a cast of three to five men ages 18-50 and three to four women in the same age range.

Those auditioning will read from the script and demonstrate the ability to use different voices for various roles, as well as sing a familiar Christmas song and a commercial jingle.

Those interested in working behind the scene or doing radio-style sound effects also are encouraged to come to the auditions.

The rehearsal schedule runs about two to three weeks beginning in November. Production dates are: Thursday-Friday, Dec. 8-9, two performances on Saturday, Dec. 10, and the final performance on Sunday, Dec. 11.

Actors on the stage deliver the lines from all of the characters in the movie, along with a crew of sound effect technicians, but, said Shea, “with a bit of a twist.”
