Learning how to take better photos of natural landscapes, wildlife and environmental work is the focus of an evening class in Sequim on May 21.

The Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society is welcoming local photographer James Gift as the guest speaker at its monthly meeting.

Gift, of Sequim, is an experienced photographer of natural scenes, having his work repeatedly published and recognized across the country. He has 28 years of experience in both photography and environmental consulting. He owns and operates Quail’s Roost Photography, which has operated in Sequim since 1997.

“The program is free and we encourage the public to attend, being an Audubon member is not necessary,” said Sara Ellen Rutkoski, OPAS member. “

The workshop is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center at Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.
