Ballot logic, accuracy test scheduled at Elections Center

The Clallam County Elections Division will perform the county’s official Logic and Accuracy Test of its ballot tabulation system at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. Testing of the Accessible Voting Unit (AVU) will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.

Both tests will be in the Elections Center located on the lower level of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Room 072, Port Angeles.

Logic and accuracy testing is a standard pre-election procedure. Clallam County Elections conducts the testing to ensure the AVU and tabulation system (hardware and software) function properly and are accurately programmed for each election. A representative of the Office of the Secretary of State will also be in attendance on Oct. 7.

The testing is open to the public, with limited in-person observation space available. The county will livestream the testing for anyone who would like to observe virtually. To view the livestream, visit clallamcountywa.gov/elections.

Ballots will be mailed to registered voters on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
