The Washington State Department of Health has issued these closings for shellfish harvest:
In Clallam County, the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Dungeness Spit east to the Jefferson County line and the southern portion of Sequim Bay from Paradise Cove to Blyn are closed to varnish clams only. The northwest area of Sequim Bay, including Middle Ground, remains closed to butter and varnish clams.
The following beaches are closed to the recreational harvest of the species listed. All species means clams (including geoduck), oysters, mussels and other invertebrates such as snails. All areas are closed for the sport harvest of scallops.The following closures do not apply to shrimp.
Crabmeat is not known to contain the PSP toxin, but the guts can contain unsafe levels. To be safe, clean crab thoroughly and discard the guts (butter).
In Jefferson County, extended seasonal closure of ocean beaches, all species
Port Ludlow including Mats Mats Bay and Kilisut Harbor including Mystery Bay and Discovery Bay, butter and varnish clams only.
