“Outdoor Fanatics 2: Birding” is set for 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.
Birding enthusiast Denny Van Horn illustrates his extreme birding passion in this second episode in a four-part series by self-proclaimed “outdoor fanatics.”
Following his career as a research ornithologist and educator, Van Horn settled on the Olympic Peninsula. His “Big Year” in 2010 set a record for the most bird species seen in Clallam County.
The Outdoor Fanatics series, sponsored by Columbia Bank of Sequim, kicks off the River Center Rally, an annual activities-based fundraiser that runs through May and raises funds to support educational programs of the Dungeness River Audubon Center and maintain Railroad Bridge Park.
