Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at Deer Park Cinemas at midnight Dec. 8.

Upon arrival, deputies saw the cinema’s front door had been broken out with a large rock, Sgt. John Hollis said in a news release.

The Port Angeles Police Department K-9 team assisted in searching for a suspect but no one was located inside.

Video surveillance shows a white male of approximately average height and thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and light-colored backpack, broke the glass out of one of the front doors, Hollis said.

Once the glass was broken, the suspect entered the building and damaged the glass display cases in the concession area and a video cash register, Hollis said.

The suspect also stole a small amount of snack items. He left before deputies arrived at the scene.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in solving this crime. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 417-2459.
