Burglary Task Force investigation leads to multiple arrests

Stolen property recovered

The Burglary Task Force is comprised of investigators from Clallam County Sheriff’s Office,
Sequim Police Department and the Port Angeles Police Department. During the course of the
investigation the Burglary Task Force used undercover law enforcement officers, police
operatives and undercover agents from the Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to purchase stolen electronics, firearms and illegal narcotics.

Local Law Enforcement Agencies recognized the concerns of the citizens of Clallam County
resulting from the rash of serial, daytime, forced entry, burglaries that started in the fall of 2009
and established the Burglary Task Force. After a four month investigation members of the
Burglary Task Force believe they have identified and arrested the persons responsible for many of these crimes, although the investigation is ongoing and more arrest are pending.

On 04/27/10 members of the Clallam County Burglary Task Force arrested three more
