Survival classes offered

Tribal Edge offers several upcoming classes.

• Survival Class will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the primal arts training center, Blyn. Subjects include emergency survival and long-term earth living. The class is a prerequisite for the Primitive Living weekend intensive and Thursday night skills club.

• A tracking class will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 12. Learn to become attuned to surroundings and the art of tracking and observation. The class is a prerequisite for the Awareness weekend intensive. Under 12 years old may participate in either class if a parent attends.

• An introduction to the healing path class will be taught 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 19. The class is a prerequisite for the healing weekend intensive.

Cost for each class is $75 for ages 12 and older. A $25 deposit is required for each class.

Crowing about it

The Red Rooster Grocery, 1341/2 W. Washington St., Sequim now stocks locally grown plants, featuring garden vegetable starts, annuals and hanging baskets.

The store is the new, permanent home of A New Leaf Plants, known for its tomato starts and vegetables. The Red Rooster also stocks heirloom, organic and non-GMO seeds.

Blake joins faculty

Fairy garden

Vision Landscape Nursery, 131 Kitchen-Dick Road, offers a class on creating a flowering fairy container garden at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15.
