Newsradio 1450 KONP recently moved its studio and office location. It’s the first move in the history of the station, which went on the air Feb. 3, 1945. The new studio and offices are at 721 E. First St., in the Olympic View Building.

"We’ll be featuring new state-of-the-art studios and a more efficient layout for our operations," said KONP general manager Todd Ortloff. The station’s main office and studios occupy two lower suites and the sales offices fills an upstairs suite. The building will be renamed to reflect the station as its main tenant.

KONP will continue to use the original property in downtown Port Angeles as an antenna and transmitter site. The station began broadcasting from the new location on Oct. 25 and the new offices opened Oct. 27.

National Association of Home Builders Research Center has recertified Estes Builders LLC as part of its National Housing Quality Certified Builder Program. Estes Builders LLC originally earned the certification following a rigorous audit of implementation of the company’s quality assurance systems and was recertified as a result of the regular annual audit. Participation in the program is designed to increase efficiency and consistency in building practices.

McComb Gardens starts its winter hours on Saturday, Nov.1. Winter hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For customer convenience, the nursery is open every day.

Kim Bower has joined Windermere SunLand as a real estate agent. Bower is a Sequim High School graduate and has raised a family in the area. She specializes in bringing buyers and sellers together.

Gateway Therapeutic Massage challenges all massage therapists to a canned food drive for the food bank. The food drive starts Nov. 1 and ends Nov. 24. Healthy Families of Clallam County is the recipient of $15,000 from the Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund created by a gift to the Seattle Foundation. This money is to support general operating expenses for programs focusing on child abuse prevention and treatment for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
