Balance talk Friday

Sequim Gym will host a free talk entitled “Easy Steps to Improving Balance and Stability.”

The talk is from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at 160 E. Bell St., in Sequim.

This talk will address why people tend to lose their balance and stability as they age, and introduce key factors in improving those critical aspects of their lives.

Cummings earns certification

Ulia Cummings, from Sequim MFR, has successfully satisfied all the requirements and has been certified as a Perfect Health Instructor by the Chopra Center on Sept. 11. Cummings will be teaching the Perfect Health Lifestyle Program in Sequim and Port Angeles.

Sequim supplier key to new Olympia market

Olympic Restaurant Equipment, 51 Dryke Road, Sequim, announces that its team will be providing all of the equipment for Olympia’s new artisan-style food hall, scheduled to open in downtown Olympia in early November.

Its delivery of two full truckloads of brand new equipment for six of the markets tenants culminates a year and a half of planning with the property’s owners, project manager and architects/designers.

This European-style market, at 222 Capitol Way North in Olympia, will tap into the sustainable food movement and will be a home to nine tenants who will be specializing in scratch-made baked goods, alcohol, locally grown flowers, shellfish and Washington will get its first “Bone Broth Bar.

Lawrence attends conference

Dr. George Lawrence of Pro Active Chiropractic Clinic, 934 Caroline St., Port Angeles, recently attended “Central Vestibular Disorders and Cerebellum Disorders with Applications” in San Diego, Calif. The two-day seminar is part of a two-year series of seminars for health care practitioners who want to better assist patients with complex neurological issues, especially of the cerebellum.
