Some people say that science is the best specialist, but I think that P.E. is the best specialist. The reason why I think that P.E. is the best is because you get to run around the gym. Also you can play games and you can do hula hooping, jump roping and stretches, too. That is why I think P.E. is best. Gianna Riccobene
Most kids think P.E. is the best specialist to go to. They say you get to run and play. This makes sense because Mrs. Castell is a good teacher. Still, I think music is the best specialist, because music is fun. You get to sing songs and play the glockenspiel. You also get to listen to music, watch videos about music, play the piano with headphones on, and play games. That is why I think music is the best specialist to go to. Paige Krzyworz
I think music is the best specialist. You get to play the glockenspiel and it sounds pretty. You get to play the piano, too. You get to watch videos. You get to sing and listen to the piano. Music is fun. Thursday is music and that is why Thursdays are a great day to go to school. Makenna Hillman
In my opinion library is the best specialist because you get to check out books. I know others say P.E. is the best, but I think library is the best because Mrs. Omdal starts every class by reading a book to us. Tommy Reandeau
Some kids think library is the best specialist. They say this because they get to get chapter books. This makes sense because chapter books are fun to read. But I think science is the best class, because you get to plant different plants and keep track of their growth. Ian Baylon
I know some kids would choose library, music or science as the best specialist, but I say P.E. is the best, because you can play games like Popcorn. You also get to play Shark Attack and play lots of other cool games. You cannot be mean in P.E. and say things like, “I don’t want to play that.” You have to play right and do what is the right. I think P.E. is the best because it is important for you to be healthy. Addison Loewen
SEQUIM MIDDLE SCHOOL
Fifth-graders from Greywolf and Haller elementary schools recently visited the middle school for a fine arts presentation. The fifth-graders were escorted to the gym down a hall that featured sixth-grade work from art classes taught by Joshua Capps. In the gym, the fifth-grade visitors were treated to performances by sixth-graders in David Upton’s band class, John Lorentzen’s choir class and Tom Saffold’s drama class. This was to get fifth-graders thinking about their electives choices for next year when they come to middle school.

Angela is being recognized as a Washington Scholar for her outstanding academic record, her involvement in school activities and for her leadership.
Riley Stites’ Building Trades students have been working during the school year to refurbish an upstairs classroom in the old high school building. After installing drywall, they were ready to apply a finishing texture to the walls. Each student had a turn with handling the sprayer. Those interested in a tour of the old high school building, one that has been refurbished largely by Building Trades students and is now used for administration and meeting rooms, call the district office at 582-3260.

Anyone 18 years of age or older with a driver’s license may test drive a car. These are very short drives with a high school volunteer, not a salesperson. There is no cost, it will take less than 20 minutes and Price Ford donates money to the class for each household that participates.
