City seeks Art Commission volunteer

The City of Sequim is seeking applicants to serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring December 2018 on the city's Arts Commission.

The City of Sequim is seeking applicants to serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring December 2018 on the city’s Arts Commission.

This voluntary commission advises the city on matters related to art and culture. Applicants must reside within the Sequim city limits.

The Arts Commission members shall be appointed upon the basis of demonstrated interest in, and knowledge and support of, the arts. Responsibilities of the commission include making recommendations to the staff and city council in connection with cultural and artistic endeavors and projects in which the city becomes involved; recommend opportunities and plans to conduct, sponsor or co-sponsor public programs to further the development and public awareness of, and interest in, the fine and performing arts; and then carry out any council approved plans as appropriate.
