Through its “Making a Difference: Sequim Volunteers” program, the City of Sequim is collecting information about volunteer opportunities in and around the City of Sequim.
These opportunities, which primarily will be from 501(c)(3) organizations, are posted on the city website at www.sequimwa.gov along with the City of Sequim’s volunteer positions.
Debbie Mink, special projects volunteer, has collected several entries so far, but is hoping to expand the list.
“This project grew out of conversations with prospective volunteers,” volunteer coordinator Pam Leonard-Ray said.
“Many people who are new to Sequim struggle not only to find a volunteer opportunity that ‘fits’ but also to figure out what is available for volunteers,” she said.
If you would like to include your volunteer opportunity on the list or have questions about the program, contact City Clerk Karen Kuznek-Reese at kkuznek@sequimwa.gov or 681-3428, Leonard-Ray at pleonard-ray@sequimwa.gov or 582-2447, or Mink at dmink@sequimwa.gov.
