The fall seminar of the Clallam County Genealogical Society features Janet O’Conner Camarata, a renown speaker and educator, set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

The seminar, entitled “Restless Americans,” is at the Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 Sequim Ave., Sequim. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program ends at about 3 p.m.

In the morning Camarata will concentrate on the Scots-Irish, early American pioneers, who with other Protestant dissenters, migrated to America and led the way from Pennsylvania through the Carolinas and westward.

In the afternoon, Camarata will integrate concepts of geography, property and genealogy in her talk, “Mapping an Ancestor.” She tells of a wandering family and explains research needed to locate and follow the movements of these people.

Registration is $40 for members of CCGS and $45 for non-members, persons signing up after Oct. 13 and at the door.

For more information, call the Clallam County Genealogical Society between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, at 681-0962, or see clallamcogs.org.
