Clallam County Elections is marking National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 25, with vote pins and stickers for all who register to vote at the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The occasion comes ahead of several quickly-approaching voter registration deadlines for those looking to cast a ballot in the Nov. 6 General Election.
Clallam County residents have until Monday, Oct. 8, to register by mail or online, transfer their voter registration from another Washington county, or update their current registration.
Registered voters who have changed residences, added or eliminated a separate mailing address, or changed their name since the last time they voted are encouraged to update their voter registration.
New registrants or voters updating their current registration can do so online through MyVote at www.myvote.wa.gov, or by contacting Clallam County Elections at 417-2221 or elections@co.clallam.wa.us.
Only new Washington state voters, including those turning 18 on or by Election Day, have until Monday, Oct. 29 to register in person at the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse to participate in the General Election.
Ballots for the 2018 General Election will be mailed to all registered Clallam County voters on Oct. 17.
Clallam County currently has more than 52,000 registered voters, according to election department officials.
