SEQUIM GAZETTE STAFF
With several openings in the department, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is seeking candidates to join its law enforcement staff.
The National Testing Network, a program that directly contracts with Clallam County and public safety departments across the country to test candidates for public safety jobs, is scheduled on Aug. 26 to host testing sessions for both corrections deputy and deputy sheriff. Physical ability tests also will be conducted.
Entry level corrections deputies earn $22.756-$27.726 per hour while entry level deputy sheriffs earn $4,722.69-$5,740.52 per month. Both are union positions with retirement and benefits options.
The sheriff’s office anticipates hiring three deputy sheriffs in the next six months and currently has several openings for corrections deputies.
Visit www.nationaltestingnetwork.com or call 866-563-3882 for testing information and to schedule. Candidates must complete the testing process to receive a Clallam County application.
