Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m., veteran Master Gardener Betsy Burlingame will continue the Class Act series with a presentation on “Basic Composting for the Home Gardener” at the Master Gardeners Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road, Sequim.
She will discuss the essentials of making healthy compost and what it takes to maintain it.
She will explain the benefits of using compost, especially the stuff you make from your own yard/garden.
Joining Burlingame will be Master Gardener and composter extraordinaire Bill Teel.
He will be at the compost area in the Woodcock Garden and actually demonstrate what’s involved in making compost.
Learn about putting together worm bins, what to feed your worms and how to keep your worms happily producing Vermil-compost.
The Class Act at Woodcock Garden presentations are held on Saturdays at
10 a.m. The educational series, sponsored by WSU Clallam County Master Gardener Program and the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County, are free and open to the public.
