Mexican Folk Dancers of Sequim mark Mexico’s independence with a celebration Sept. 13 in the Pirate Union Building at Peninsula College in Port Angeles.

The event includes a dinner and music followed by a dance performance.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner is served 5-6 p.m. and the dance performance follows from 6-7 p.m.

The cost of admission does not include the dinner, which will be buffet style and may be purchased separately.

Tickets for the performance are general admission, $12; couples, $20; seniors, $10; military, $10; students, $8; and children 10 and under, free.

Sponsors of the celebration are Peninsula College, Puerto de Angeles Restaurant and DJ Guerrero Sound.

Peninsula Singers needs bass singers. This is an opportunity to sing with a prestigious chorus singing some of the world’s greatest music ever written.
