doors to the public
Grand Olympics Chorus of Sequim opens its chorus rehearsal to the public at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at Sequim Bible Church, 847 N. Sequim Ave.
Be a guest at the rehearsal and learn a song in four-part harmony. Reading music is not required.

Computer users
group reaches out
Sequim Personal Computer Users Group offers programs and workshops in 2009, including hands-on workshops and presentations on creating 3-D graphics, upgrading to wireless Internet, setting up a server, creating a Web presence, an introduction to Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu, and setting up a home security system.
Meetings offer an ongoing computer troubleshooting question-and-answer period related to hardware and software. Online help also is available at http://spcug.net.
Guests may attend two meetings for free. Membership is $20 annually for the member and immediate family.
Meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Computer Lab No. E3, Sequim High School, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
Early tickets available
for BC museum exhibit
Discounted tickets are available through Feb. 28 for the Royal British Columbia Museum’s upcoming exhibit "Treasures: The World’s Cultures from the British Museum."
The exhibition makes its North American debut at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria on May 1 and continues to Sept. 30.
"Treasures" includes more than 300 artifacts from the renowned British Museum collection, including a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy, a shield from the Bronze Age, and works from Picasso and Rembrandt.
