Harvest Dinner set for Saturday
North Olympic Land Trust hosts the 13th annual Friends of the Fields 100-mile Harvest Dinner from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Sunland Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive.

Dog dancers at Sequim park
The Emerald City K-9 Freestyle Dancers will have a musical canine freestyle competition in Sequim, the Boot Scootin Boogie #12 “Hula Hoedown,” beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, and 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Guy Cole Convention Center in Carrie Blake Park.
The public is invited and there will be an admission fee of $3. Only competing dogs will be allowed in the building.
Lecture urges ‘Looking Forward’

Dog wash to aid SHS freshmen
The Sequim High School Class of 2016 (freshmen this fall) is hosting a dog wash from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, in the main parking lot at the school, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
Donations are accepted.
Money raised goes to the Class of 2016’s Associated Student Body fund.

Sierra Club holds potluck
The Sierra Club holds a potluck Saturday, Sept. 22, at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St., Sequim. Social hour is at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Photographer and author Dave Shreffler presents “Running Across Clouds: Adventures in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.”
The public is welcome. Bring utensils/plates/cups as well as a dish to share.
A $3 donation is requested from those attending the social hour.
Grange hosts Flea Market
Sequim Prairie Grange hosts a flea market from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at 290 Macleay Road, Sequim.
Vendors will be inside, outside and in the outdoor kitchen.

‘Outreach’ event set for Sunday
Republican Women of Clallam County hosts “Operation Outreach,” a spaghetti-feed and fundraiser, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road.
Music by Sweet Adelines Quartet is at 1 p.m.; food service begins at 2 p.m.

Speakers series resumes
Fire Chief Steve Vogel of Fire District 3 gives an update on current affairs in Sequim and the fire district at the first fall Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild Speaker Series meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the community hall of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
The public is invited to the free event; coffee, tea and light refreshments are served. A business meeting for the guild follows the presentation.
