Drumming classes
A new series of Whole Person Drumming classes begins Monday, April 12.
Classes meet 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, April 12-May 3. Each week focuses on a different aspect of rhythm.
Prices are $100 for the series and $35 for a drop-in session.

Panel discusses math/WASL
Clallam County Democratic Club hosts a panel discussion regarding math graduation requirements and the WASL test at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St., Sequim.

Dance for Haiti
Four peninsula-area bands play for an American Red Cross benefit concert to help rebuild Haiti.
John Nelson is master of ceremonies for the concert that begins with the Jim Hoffman Band and continues through the afternoon and evening with Jubilee, Haywire and Ted Vigil, who looks, plays and sings like John Denver.
A silent auction and raffle also are part of the event, with all proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross. 4-10 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at the 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 Highway 101, Blyn.

Highway headaches
Crews will remove trees at Sequim Bay State Park through Thursday, April 8, restricting traffic in both directions of U.S. Highway 101.
Flaggers will control one-way alternating traffic between mileposts 268 and 269 from 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. each day.
Meanwhile, state Department of Transportation crews will repair and replace roadway markers in the left lanes in both directions of Highway 101 on the Morse Creek bridge east of Port Angeles.
The work will take place from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. through Thursday, April 8.

Irish history talk
Peninsula College welcomes Irish Fulbright scholar Dr. Richard McMahon to campus April 14-16.
McMahon presents a free lecture at noon Wednesday, April 14, in the college’s Little Theater, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
A question-and-answer session follows.
A historian of 19th-century Ireland and the Irish diaspora, he has taught Irish history at a number of universities in Britain and Ireland.
He is the Fulbright scholar in Irish historical studies at Stanford University.
