Driving Safety session offered
There is a two-session AARP Driving Safety class from 8 a.m.-noon Monday, Sept. 10, and Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Sequim Fire Station, 325 N. Fifth Ave. Cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for others.

Resource group reviews proposals
The Olympic Peninsula Resource Advisory Committee meets from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the USDA Service Center, Olympic National Forest, 1835 Black Lake Blvd SW, Olympia. Charitable giving workshop planned
A “Discovering Your Legacy” event is scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in Keegan Hall at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. Local groups and experts provide information on identifying family and charitable goals and the creative ways people can support the organizations they care about.

The Gardiner Community Cemetery Commissioner meeting for the month of September is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Road, Gardiner. Sing for Sequim community chorus
Preparations are under way for the Sequim Community Christmas Chorus’ 27th season. The chorus is open to singers of all backgrounds, religions and levels of experience: There are no auditions and everyone is welcome.
Rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 18, at Sequim Bible Church, 847 N. Sequim Ave.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, Nov. 29-30, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.

Election ballots come in October
Ballots for the General Election will be mailed on Oct. 17. The last day to register online or by mail is Oct. 8.
Residents who are not registered or are new to Washington can register in person at the Clallam County Auditor’s office, 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 1, Port Angeles, until Oct. 29.
The General Election is Nov. 5.
