Guild for Children’s
Hospital hosts bunco
Sequim Guild of Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center hosts an afternoon of fun, food, bunco and prizes Feb. 29.
Refreshments and socializing begin at 12:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
Bunco is a game of dice, luck and prizes. Prizes donated by members and local businesses will be awarded to winners of various categories. Members of the guild will serve salads, sandwiches, fruits, cheeses and desserts.
Proceeds from the fundraising event will be sent to Children’s Hospital for its uncompensated care fund, which offsets the costs for children whose families are unable to afford the medical treatments.
During the last fiscal year, the hospital served 1,050 children from Clallam County and the uncompensated care fund offset $344,791 in costs on behalf of many of those patients. In turn, the five guilds in the county were able to contribute nearly $50,000 toward that fund.
Donations of $10 per person may be paid at the door. Participants should make reservations by calling 461-3517.
The Sequim Guild welcomes new members as well as donations of time, money, talents or items needed at Children’s Hospital.
