Bunco party set

The Sequim Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital’s hosts a summer Bunco party from noon-3 p.m. on Friday, June 16, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Attendees can win prizes playing Bunco, enjoy a special “Prairie Picnic” lunch made by guild members, and bid on 22 choices at the silent auction.

Admission is $15. All proceeds go to Seattle Children’s Hospital for uncompensated care and research.

Gardiner center sets 100-year party

The Gardiner Community Center is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a party for the community.

Enjoy free food, fun and friends from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, at 980 Old Gardiner Road.

Hospital guild sets sale

The Sequim Dungeness Hospital Guild Thrift Shop, 204 W. Bell St., will be open open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, June 15-17. Featured this week will be. A variety of lavender items, including pieces of art glass, fine art originals and art prints. All yellow tag items will be $1, with restocking of more items every day.

All proceeds are donated to local medical needs, including Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, Peninsula College nursing student

scholarships and Sequim fire department EMT needs.

Donations are welcomed and accepted 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, and when the shop is open for business. The group is also seeking new members and thrift shop volunteers.

‘Hog Wild’ to open Field Events Hall

The 10th-annual Hog Wild event, presented by North Olympic Healthcare Network, will be the first ever event in the newly constructed Field Arts & Events Hall in Port Angeles, set for 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.

Dinner, games and a movie (“Casablanca”) are set to celebrate the opening.

Tickets are $70 (or $700 for a table) and are available at bit.ly/hogwildgoestothemovies.

Performances by famed Seattle Teatro Zinzanni actors Kevin Joyce, Mike Holsbeke, Alex Zerbe and Jenny Penny. The showing of the movie “Casablanca” is on the big screen in the new Field Hall Theater. Also featured will be singing performances by Amanda Bacon and Everett Polanski, who will sing the two hits in the film (“Le Marseillaise” and “As Times Goes By,” respectively).

The event will also feature traditional Hog Wild games, where participants can win prizes.

Olympic UFO meeting set

Olympic UFO will meet from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at Unity Church, 3918 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend.

The public is invited to explore the UFO phenomenon, and to share or report their sightings, close encounters, or other anomalous phenomena. A small donation to cover the venue cost is appreciated.

The June 17 meeting focus topic is, “Have We Passed the Non-Human Intelligence Disclosure Tipping Point?”

The meetings are held the third Saturday of the month.
