Grange benefit on tap
Sequim Prairie Grange invites the public to its Pie and Dessert Social on Wednesday, March 26. The evening begins with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by a pie and dessert auction. Slices of pie also will be offered for a donation. All proceeds and donations go to the March of Dimes to fight birth defects. The Sequim Prairie Grange is at 290 Macleay Road. Meeting rescheduled
The Clallam County Board of Commissioners work session meeting scheduled for March 31 has been moved to 9 a.m. on April 1. The meeting was rescheduled because two of the three commissioners would be absent.
Support group for diabetics
The Clallam County Type 1 Diabetes Educational Support Group meets at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Olympic Peninsula YMCA, 302 S. Francis St., Port Angeles. Meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month. For more information, contact Christina Hurst at 417-2364.
Newcomers luncheon set
Andrew May, a nationally renowned horticulturist, will be speaking at the Newcomers April luncheon. He will be discussing how to get started with spring gardening. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, April 1, at The Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road in Sequim. Socializing begins at 11:30 a.m. Cost of the luncheon is $15. SMUG group to meet
The Strait Macintosh User Group meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim with the presenter Jerry Freilich discussing topics for beginners. Refreshments will be served.

Tour school facilities
Sequim School District is inviting community members to join Sequim schools superintendent Kelly Shea on a tour of the facilities at Sequim High School and Helen Haller Elementary School. Morning and early afternoon tours are available at 10 a.m.–noon or 1–3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, and 10 a.m.– noon or 1–3 p.m. on Thursday, April 3.

Easter bread sale
Sequim Rainbow Girls are taking orders for their annual Easter Bread sale, which includes: six hot cross buns, six scones, eight pieces almond biscotti, loaf of lemon nut bread, loaf of poppy seed bread, or a loaf of maraschino cherry, chocolate chip banana nut bread. Breads will be baked at the Sequim Masonic Lodge kitchen on April 12. Order deadline is April 7.
