Education has been a primary driving force of the Sequim PC Users Group (SPCUG) in 2009. The club offered a variety of classes including Excel workshops, Linux, Windows 7, 3-D imaging, online banking, server set-up, selling on e-Bay and utilizing scanners.
Members also have donated expert labor and money to local radio station KSQM, the Sequim Senior Activity Center, Sequim High School’s FBLA, the Community Organic Gardens of Sequim, the Museum and Arts Center and the Sequim Education Foundation.
During the Dec. 5 meeting, the club elected a new board of directors for 2010: Jessica Burroughs, president; Tom Pitre, vice-president; Tom Flanik, treasurer; Diana Schildknecht, co-secretary and Don Klinger, co-secretary.
The club meets at 10 a.m. Saturdays in the Sequim High School computer lab, Room E3, 601 N. Sequim Ave. Dues are $25 per year for 2010. Classes are free for members; the club requests a $5 donation for nonmembers.
