The Clallam County Department of Health and Human Services, Environmental Health, has received grant funding for a study to develop wastewater treatment options for failing and problem septic systems in the Three Crabs neighborhood.
To explain the process and gather public input, the department has scheduled a series of four public meetings. The first is at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, Sequim. Topics include the feasibility study area, water quality and habitat research, and existing area septic systems types and conditions.
After the first two meetings, a draft report will be prepared for review at meetings in late summer or early fall.
