Fifth-graders promote Irrigation Festival

For one week, fifth-graders from Greywolf Elementary and Helen Haller Elementary schools did their best sales pitches, selling buttons commemorating the 116th Irrigation Festival running May 6-15.

Raelynn Vulgamore was the top button-seller at Greywolf with 46 buttons sold. Jessica Lato and Sage Garcia tied for second with 40 buttons.

Christina Lewis sold 75 buttons to be on top at Helen Haller. Destiny Staus won second with 50, and Elijah Creed and Kaleb Gallauher tied for third with 40 each.

Lewis and Vulgamore had their pick of digital cameras. They also receive carnival bracelets and a ride through the grand parade. All other winners chose MP3 players.

Before winners were announced, festival royalty sang an introductory song about themselves and the upcoming festival. For more information, visit www.irrigationfestival.com.
