Deputies seek help in nabbing robbery suspects

Three men are suspected of robbing a home on the 3000 block of Fourth Avenue in Port Angeles Saturday morning.

The men reportedly had handguns and stole firearms, jewelry and money from a safe in the home, according to a Clallam County Sheriff’s Office report.

At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, Clallam County deputies responded to and investigated a home invasion robbery on Fourth Avenue. According to the report deputies learned that three white males, wearing disguises and armed with handguns, unlawfully entered the home occupied by a husband and wife while demanding items from within the home.

Once the suspects were inside the home, the wife was assaulted by having water thrown on her, the report notes. The suspects then demanded that the husband open his safe, which he did.  Suspects fled the residence with firearms, currency and jewelry, using what is reported to be a small foreign vehicle.

Deputies, Port Angeles Police officers and a K-9 team searched the area; no K-9 track was obtained, indicating the suspects likely fled in a nearby vehicle, the report noted.
