Donations accepted for Sequim senior graduation party

Parents who are organizing the alcohol- and substance-free senior graduation party are accepting donations for the June 11 event.

This year, parents have partnered with the Sequim Education Foundation, allowing individuals and businesses to make tax-deductible donations in support of the party.

The event is open to all Sequim-area high school seniors and is in the Fellowship Hall of Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave. Doors open to the party 45 minutes after the completion of the graduation ceremony. The party lasts until 4 a.m.

The theme of this year’s graduation party is "A Passport to Adventure." Activities include contests, a huge variety of games, music by a disc jockey, photo booth, food and numerous drawings for prizes.

Those interested in making a donation may call Lee Lawrence at 461-2155, e-mail Leelawrence@wavecable.com or mail a check to P.O. Box 220, Carlsborg, WA 98324. Checks should be made out to Sequim Education Foundation and be designated to the Sequim Senior Graduation Party.

Parents are holding one more party planning meeting, set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, in the Sequim High School library, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
