Partner up, reading buddies!

Sequim students honored an American icon by crossing classroom boundaries last week, as hundreds of students from Sequim High School made the short trek to Helen Haller Elementary School on Feb. 28, Read Across America day.

Read Across America is an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association held on the school day closest to March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss (children’s author Theodor Seuss Geisel).

Sequim High ASB freshman officer Sydney Balkan organized the Sequim event.
