Members of the Sequim City Arts Advisory Commission look to cap off their fundraising campaign this week to purchase a leaded glass window for the Guy Cole Convention Center.

The window was created by local artist Millie Harrell and measures 6 feet tall by 8 feet wide.

Sequim City Council OK’d the project on July 11 to raise $29,000 by August 19.

So far, the commission has $7,650 dedicated.

Pledge cards for support of the project can be picked in the lobby of the Sequim Civic Center, 152 West Cedar Street, or on the City website www.sequimwa.gov.

No monies will be collected until after the deadline. If the necessary funds to purchase the art are not raised, all pledges will become void.

If revenue exceeds the amount, remaining funds will be set aside for future public art.
